The GrayMatters® Assessment System

A closer look...

The GrayMatters® Assessment System is a self-contained, user-friendly computer unit that requires very little staff time to administer. It is available in either a laptop or desktop unit. The system features a patented screening software program and is adaptable to any environment, from primary care and specialty physician or psychology practices to inpatient settings. It is also well suited to clinicians traveling between sites. GrayMatters® is administered with ease and requires minimal technological expertise for office personnel to set up and use. Patients require no technical or computer skills and interact easily with the system. The screening takes only about 30 minutes, as the unit cues the patient through each step of the assessment with easily understandable voice narration and visual cues. Patients respond to the instructions by touching the easy-to-master screen after each cue.

GrayMatters® allows individuals with no computer experience to be screened accurately without the need to have highly trained staff assistants take them through the process. Results of the screening are immediately available to the physician. The system allows physicians to screen for dementia accurately and comprehensively in a convenient setting for both the patient and the physician.
